Albuquerque, NM : Pedestrian killed on I-40 in Albuquerque on early Saturday morning, July 5, 2014

Authorities say a pedestrian has died following a fatal crash on Interstate 40 in Albuquerque.

The Albuquerque Police Department says officers are investigating the early morning accident. Police say a pedestrian was attempting to cross the westbound lanes of I-40 when the person was hit by a vehicle.

The victim's identity had not yet been released pending notification of their family.
