Hudson,MI : 26-year-old victim identified in last week’s fatal Huron Township crash on September, Tuesday 12th 2017
The 26-year-old Huron Township woman who was killed on the morning of Sept. 12 in a two-car crash was Paige Luszczynski.
The crash occurred on Inkster Road north of Van Horn Road in Huron Township with the woman’s infant child in the rear seat.
Drivers of both vehicles were pinned inside and had to be removed with Jaws of Life extricating tools, said Everette Robbins, director of public safety for Huron Township.
Paramedics for both the Huron Township and Brownstown Township Fire Departments along with police department units were on the scene within six minutes of the 911 call, Robbins said.
The female was pronounced deceased at the scene, he said. Her infant child was transported by Huron Valley Ambulance to Mott’s Children’s Hospital in Ann Arbor. The child’s injuries are not thought to be life threatening, Robbins said.
A 73-year-old man from Brownstown was transported to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ann Arbor by Survival Flight. His condition was critical, Robbins said.
Robbins said he still was in critical condition and “at this point I am not releasing his name due to the ongoing investigation. It’s too early to tell about charges.”
“The preliminary investigation indicates that the male driver may have been suffering from some type of medical event prior to the crash” Robbins said earlier.
