A Findlay woman was injured and cited following a crash Monday morning at Hancock County 99 and Speedway Drive, according to the Findlay Police Department.
At 7:31 a.m., a 2003 Jeep Liberty driven by Corrina Walter, 49, of Findlay, was traveling east on Hancock County 99 approaching the Speedway Drive intersection, police said. At the same time, a 2016 Ford cargo van, driven by Chase Gundrum, 31, of Findlay, was turning left from Speedway Drive onto westbound Hancock County 99.
Police said Walter and Gundrum both entered the intersection at the same time, and Walter’s Jeep collided with Gundrum’s van.
Walter was taken by Hanco EMS to Blanchard Valley Hospital with a head laceration, according to police.
The drivers gave conflicting statements on when the traffic light changed, but police later determined that Walter had failed to yield. She was cited for failure to yield at an intersection and for not wearing a seat belt.
