GREENACRES, FL : Detectives search for driver in fatal New Year's Eve hit-and-run involving elderly woman on Monday, 1st January 2024

Detectives say they are searching for a hit-and-run driver who struck and killed a 91-year-old woman in Greenacres.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office (PBSO) said on New Year's Eve at around 9:15 p.m. the unknown car was headed east along 10th Avenue North approaching the intersection of Walker Avenue, near John I. Leonard High School. At the same time, Illodia Phadael was crossing 10th Ave.
