ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, IN : Four kids, one driver injured in crash involving school bus in Lakeville on Monday, 1st April 2019

A school bus and an SUV were involved in a crash in Lakeville on Monday morning that left four kids and the SUV driver injured.

According to dispatch, the call came in around 7:58 a.m. for the crash at SR-931 and SR-4.

After their preliminary investigation, police say they believe the Union North United school bus stopped at the bus stop when it was rear-ended by the SUV. It is unclear if the bus was in motion at the time of the crash.

There were less than 20 kids were on the bus. Ages of the students range from kindergarten to high school.

Four kids were transported to the hospital, ages unknown, with non-life threatening injuries, according to police.

The male driver of the SUV was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
