OVERLAND PARK, KS : Deadly crash involving scooter in Overland Park on Sunday, 24th March 2024

On Sunday around 7:10 p.m. the Overland Park Police Department responded to 91st and Metcalf Avenue about an injury crash involving a scooter.

A vehicle was driving eastbound on West 91st Street toward Metcalf Avenue when a man riding an electric scooter was traveling westbound on W. 91st Street from Metcalf Ave.

As the vehicle was turning left into a parking lot it struck the man on the electric scooter. He was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The scooter driver who died has been identified as Greggory Bennett, 39, of Lenexa, Kansas.
