SAN ANTONIO, TX : 1 person killed in fiery rollover crash on Highway 281 on Tuesday, 14th May 2024

One person is dead following a rollover crash on the city’s North Side early Tuesday morning, according to San Antonio police.

The crash happened just before 12:30 a.m. in the 10500 block of San Pedro Avenue, not far from Highway 281 and just west of the San Antonio International Airport.

According to police, the driver of a Jeep lost control and veered off the main southbound lanes on San Pedro. The vehicle rolled into a grassy median, struck an embankment and caught fire.

Police said firefighters discovered a person in the Jeep after putting out the flames. They were pronounced dead at the scene.
