Dinuba, CA : 21-year-old driver died in a car crash south of Dinuba on Saturday, November 19, 2016

A 21-year-old man died Saturday when his 2003 Mitsubishi slammed into a palm tree along the shoulder of Road 88 south of Dinuba, the California Highway Patrol reported.

The CHP said the man, said to be a resident of Orange, was driving south on Road 88, north of Avenue 392, when he left the roadway and hit the tree. He died at the scene.

The CHP did not know how fast the man was going, or what time the crash occurred. Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash, the CHP said.
