A 34-year-old Pensacola man is dead after a three-car wreck Monday evening in Escambia County.
According to a press release from the Florida Highway Patrol, Andrew Boucher of Pensacola died after the vehicle he was driving collided head on with another vehicle on Nighthawk Lane in Pensacola.
According to the report, Boucher was driving a Honda Civic west on Nighthawk Lane. A Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Maribel Mendez Vazquez of Pensacola, and a VW Jetta, driven by Karen Smittee Choat of Pensacola, were both travelling east.
Boucher's vehicle traveled into the eastbound lane causing the front left of his Civic to collide with the front left of the Vazquez's Equinox. Choat swerved to the right to avoid the collision but was struck on the passenger side by Vazquez's Equiox, the
report stated.
Choat and Vazquez received minor injuries.
Charges are pending a traffic homicide investigation.
