Motorcyclist killed in Brownsboro Road crash

One person was killed and another injured after a motorcycle accident on Saturday afternoon in Jefferson County.The Jefferson County Sheriff's Department said the accident happened just after 2 p.m. in the 5500 block of Doug Hollow Road.
Deputies say the motorcycle was attempting to pass a car when it collided head on with another car. The 29-year-old driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead on the scene.

A female passenger on the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and was airlifted to an area hospital. The driver of the car was not injured.
The identity of the person killed has not yet been released.
