A Monument man died Thursday night after he lost control of the Porsche he was driving and crashed in Black Forest. Kurt Knaus, 48, passed two vehicles in a no-passing zone on Colorado 83, according to the Colorado State Patrol. The car spun off the left side of the road and hit two trees and a fence. Knaus was pronounced dead on scene. A passenger in his car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, the State Patrol said. Both Knaus and his passenger, Kenneth Skidmore, 43, of Colorado Springs, were wearing seatbelts. Source: Monument man ID'd after fatal Black Forest crash
