A 23-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a head-on collision with a car late Monday on U.S. 301, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said Michael Allen Taylor, of Wimauma, was southbound before drifting into the wrong lane. The crash happened about 11 p.m. near Stanford Road, according to the Highway Patrol, and the drivers of the car, a 2009 Honda Civic,

suffered minor injuries. They were not immediately identified.
