MADISON, WI : MPD Man cited after accidentally discharging firearm in downtown Madison apartment on Friday, 2nd February 2024

A 23-year-old man was cited after he claimed to accidentally discharge his firearm while cleaning it, the Madison Police Department reports.

MPD says officers responded to an apartment building located along the 400 block of W. Washington Ave. shortly before 7 pm. Friday.

A round hit a sink and flew into a cabinet behind it, police say.
