COLUMBUS, OH : Hit-and-run crash dump truck fire cause hourslong road closure on Friday, 23rd May 2024

All lanes were closed on Interstate 70 West at I-71 North near 4th Street for more than an hour because of a truck fire.

Officers with the Columbus Division of Police were called at 11:24 a.m. for a hit-and-run crash involving a car and dump truck.

Dispatchers said the truck caught fire under the 4th Street bridge and no injuries were reported. The other car involved in the crash did not stay at the scene.
