A motorcyclist was killed Monday afternoon in a crash on Interstate 71 near the Ridge Road exit.Darren MacMillan, 51, of Cincinnati was riding northbound on I-71 and came into some slow traffic at the Kennedy Avenue overpass just after 5 p.m.According to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office, Galit Shamay, 46, of Owensboro, Kentucky rear-ended MacMillan's motorcycle with his car, throwing MacMillan from the bike."I was walking back to my room, and I heard screaming on the freeway," said Cindy McClure, who was staying at a nearby Motel 6. "It was kids screaming, and I could hear stuff just flying everywhere."MacMillan was killed. According to the sheriff's office, he wasn't wearing a helmet.Shamay wasn't injured.I-71 was closed for nearly three hours as authorities investigated.Alcohol, speed or drugs aren't considered factors in the crash, according to the sheriff's office.
