ATLANTA, GA : 3 teens killed, 2 others injured in Alpharetta crash on Tuesday, 14th May 2024

Three 18-year-olds were killed and two others were injured in a single-vehicle crash in Alpharetta Tuesday night.

The crash happened around 8 p.m. on a bend in the road along Westside Parkway near Maxwell Road.

The Alpharetta Police Department said it appeared the driver lost control of the Honda Accord before crashing into some trees and flipping upside down. Police said they believe speed “may have been a factor in the crash.” That section of the street was closed most of the day Wednesday as officers reconstructed the accident scene as part of their investigation.

Alpharetta police said Sriya Avasarala, a University of Georgia freshman, and Aryan Joshi, an Alpharetta High School senior, died at the scene.
