BALTIMORE, MD : Child seriously injured in Brooklyn hit-and-run crash on Monday, 29th January 2024

A 4-year-old girl is recovering at a hospital after she was struck by a vehicle in broad daylight and left with life-threatening injuries.

The girl ran out into the roadway in Brooklyn Park on Monday. That's when she was struck by a 2024 Volkswagen Tiguan that police believe was driven by a 17-year-old boy from Baltimore, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

The crash happened shortly before 4 p.m. at the 300 block of West Arden Road, police said.
