Two teachers from Brooklyn were killed and two others seriously injured when their car was T-boned by a tractor-trailer on an Arizona highway Monday, authorities said.

The crash happened when the teachers’ rented Jeep Cherokee turned left from Route 77 onto Route 377 in Holbrook at 4:46 p.m., according to Holbrook Police Lt. Jack Arend.

The Kenworth trailer almost smashed completely through the center of the driver’s door.

Teachers Hindy Spira, 27, and Raizel Morgenstern, 23, were killed in the accident.

The two other women in the blue jeep, Miriam Meyer, 24, and Suri Mayerowitz, 26, were taken to Little Colorado Medical Center in Winslow. Both are expected to survive.

Meyer is the daughter of Jack Meyer, the founder of Misaskim, a Jewish burial group.

Police believe Morgenstern, who was driving the car, never saw the truck, or underestimated its speed. “Unfortunately, they pulled out in the path of the semi,” Arend said.
