A three-vehicle accident killed two and injured two others on Highway 49 in Greene County Saturday evening. According to a report by the Arkansas State Police, the wreck happened around 5:30pm on U.S. 49 at the Carriage Hills subdivision. Two southbound cars moved to avoid hitting a northbound truck in the turn lane. One of the cars hit the truck head on. The passengers in the car Matthew Middleton, 28 of Jonesboro, and Jennifer Macias, 28 of Jonesboro died as a result of their injuries. The drivers of both vehicles in the head on collision were injured.
