Two people were killed Friday afternoon when a vehicle failed to yield on U.S. Highway 75 in Winchester, officials said.

Alvin L. Cooper, 82, of Depew, was driving a 1993 Dodge Dakota shortly after 4:50 p.m. near U.S. 75 and 241st Street South, and he did not yield at a stop sign, according to an accident report. A 2015 freight liner hit Cooper's

vehicle.

Cooper and a passenger, Elvie Cooper, 82, were pronounced dead at the scene, the report said.

The driver of the freight liner was not injured.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash.
