POWDER SPRINGS, GA : 1 dead after early morning crash at Powder Springs intersection on Monday, 17th June 2024

One person was killed in a crash on Monday morning in Cobb County near Macland and John Petree roads.

The crash happened around 4:30 a.m., according to Cobb County Police Department.

Police say their preliminary investigation revealed that a beige 2004 GMC Yukon was traveling eastbound on Macland Road in the right lane approaching its intersection with John Petree Road.

Simultaneously, a black 2018 Toyota Camry was crossing Macland Road in a northerly direction at its intersection with John Petree Road.

The Toyota entered the intersection in the path of the GMC. The front of the GMC collided with the left side of the Toyota. The Toyota
