NASHVILLE, TN : Candlelight vigil held for Nashville restaurant owner killed in hit-and-run crash on Thursday, 11th July 2024

A candlelight vigil was held in memory of a restaurant owner who died after a truck crashed into his business.The vigil for Matthew Carney was held Thursday at Smokin Thighs on Wedgewood Avenue.

Metro Police say Carney was hospitalized last month when a Nissan Frontier truck slammed into his restaurant. The truck fled the scene but was later recovered by police. A suspect has not yet been arrested.
