Cottage Grove,MN : One dead in car crash and fire in Cottage Grove on March, Saturday 31st 2018

One person was killed in a fiery crash early Saturday in Cottage Grove, according to police.
First responders were called about 12:30 a.m. to a reported fire near Innovation Road south of Highway 61. A car had crashed and rolled into a field, and it was engulfed in fire when authorities arrived, according to a Cottage Grove police release.
A State Patrol helicopter with thermal-imaging equipment was used to confirm no one had been ejected from the car. Firefighters extinguished the fire and the driver was found dead inside, police said.The Ramsey County medical examiner was working to identify the body early Saturday. Further details about the victim would be released after family was notified, police said.
The State Patrol is assisting with the crash investigation.
