Nemo, SD : 27-year-old man dies in ATV crash near Box Elder Forks Campground on Saturday night, June 18, 2016

A 27-year-old man is dead following an All Terrain Vehicle accident Saturday night near Box Elder Forks Campground on Nemo Road, according to the Pennington County Highway Patrol.

The accident occurred around 8:30 p.m. Saturday night. The victim was the only one on the ATV and the ATV was the only vehicle involved.

The highway patrol said the ATV was traveling on a dirt road and lost control, going off the roadway and rolling.

The man was not wearing a helmet.

The highway patrol said they are still investigating whether certain factors such as a drugs, alcohol or speed of the vehicle were responsible for the accident.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
