Pearce, AZ : 77-year-old Willcox man killed in 2-vehicle collision at intersection in Cochise County on Monday morning, Nov 23, 2015

Authorities say a 77-year-old Willcox man was killed when his car hit another car broadside at a highway intersection in a rural area of central Cochise County.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety identified the man killed in the Monday morning accident as Jose Ramon Garcia and said he failed to come to a complete stop at the intersection of US 191 and Kansas Settlement Road near Pearce.

DPS spokesman Quentin Mehr said the other driver had minor injuries and refused medical treatment at the scene.

Mehr said neither driver was wearing safety restraints at the time of the collision.
