LAS VEGAS, NV : Driver held without bail in Las Vegas crash that killed teen on Monday, February 13th 2017

The driver in a suspected drunken driving crash that killed a 16-year-old boy has been ordered to be held without bail.

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports (http://bit.ly/2lMitAo ) that a judge on Monday called 47-year-old David Fensch a danger to Clark County before ordering him to be held. Authorities say Fensch was intoxicated when he hit a car driven by Jaelan Fajardo, who was on his way to school during the Thursday crash.

According to court records, Fensch has five previous DUI convictions, four of which were in Michigan.

He has been charged with one count of vehicular homicide, a charge reserved for cases in which the driver is suspected of being under the influence and has at least three prior DUI convictions.
