Woman killed in 3-car Henderson Nevada
Authorities said a Henderson woman who died in a three-vehicle collision appeared to have not worn her seat belt.
The 64-year-old victim was the only fatality after a wreck at the intersection of Eastgate Road and Warm Springs Road at about 5:20 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
The victim was a rear-seat passenger of a Nissan driven by 63-year-old Patricia Carameli, who stopped on northbound Eastgate at the Warm Springs intersection but failed to yield to a westbound pick-up truck.The truck collided with the Nissan causing it to collide with a minivan stopped at southbound Eastgate.
The 64-year-old woman died at St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Rose de Lima Campus. Two other passengers were transported to the hospital. One person sustained non-life threatening injuries while the other was in critical condition.
Others involved in the wreck sustained minor injuries.
An investigation in the crash is ongoing, but officers do not believe speed, alcohol or drugs were factors.
There have been a total of 11 deaths so far from traffic accidents in Henderson this year, police said.
