MIDDLEBURY, VT : Child on bicycle injured in crash on C.R. 16 near C.R. 116 near Middlebury on Tuesday, 18th September 2018

A crash critically injured a Middlebury girl while she was riding her bicycle Tuesday morning.

A minivan driven by Frank Terranova, Middlebury, struck the bike ridden by Jolene Weaver, 9, from behind while they were both on C.R. 16 near C.R. 116 near Middlebury around 8:10 a.m., Elkhart County police said in a news release.

Weaver was flown to South Bend Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.
