FAIRFIELD TWP, OH : Man dies in crash with semitrailer on M-52 just south of Weston Road, Sgt on Friday, 6th September 2019

An Adrian man died Friday afternoon after his car crashed into the rear of a tractor-trailer.

Robert Norman Stark, 58, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on M-52 just south of Weston Road, Sgt. Alex Perdue of the Lenawee County Sheriff’s Office said. Stark was southbound on M-52 at about 2:15 p.m. when the car he was driving crashed into the rear of the semitrailer ahead of him. Perdue said the semi was moving slowly and Stark did not adjust for the speed difference.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Lenawee County Accident Investigation Team.

The driver of the semi, John Charles Taylor, 49, of Groveland, Fla., was not injured, Perdue said.

The Fairfield Township and Madison Township fire departments responded to the crash.
