Box Elder County, UT : 2-year-old suffers no major injuries after being thrown from car in single-vehicle rollover on Interstate 15 outside Brigham City on Friday, Aug 7, 2015
A 2-year-old girl suffered no major injuries after she was thrown from a vehicle during a rollover crash in Box Elder County.
On Friday evening, the girl, her 7-year-old brother and their 29-year-old mother were in the car, going southbound on Interstate 15, when the mom tried to change lanes about a mile south of Brigham City. But another vehicle was already in the lane, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.
The mom swerved and their vehicle rolled twice before hitting a concrete wall. During the rollover, the 2-year-old girl — who was in a forward-facing child restraint device — was thrown from the vehicle, according to UHP.
Both the girl and boy, who was in a booster seat, suffered "no major injuries" and were taken to a Brigham City hospital. The mom suffered minor injuries and, after being extricated from the vehicle, was taken to an Ogden hospital.
