Melville, NY : Driver hurt after LIE collision on May, Sunday, 21st 2017

A Middle Island woman was driving under the influence when she smashed into an unoccupied Nassau police car on the Long Island Expressway in Syosset early Sunday morning, Nassau police said.

The officer, who had pulled over to investigate an auto accident on the expressway, was not in the patrol car at the time and was uninjured, police said. The cruiser sustained extensive damage, according.
