Theriot ,LA : Houma man dies in Theriot crash on Friday ,July 3rd 2015

A Houma man was killed in a car crash this morning on Dr. Beatrous Road in Theriot, Louisiana State Police said.

Marc Boudreaux was pronounced dead on the scene after his 1989 Chevrolet Silverado overturned twice.

State police investigated the crash shortly before 3 a.m. today and determined Boudreaux was driving north on Dr. Beatrous Road when he failed to follow a left curve and travelled off the right side of the road.

He overcorrected back to the left, causing the Chevrolet to overturn twice, Trooper First Class Evan Harrell said.

Boudreaux, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead on the scene by the Terrebonne Parish Coroner’s Office.

Impairment is suspected to be a factor in the crash, and routine toxicology tests are pending, Harrell said.

This crash remains under investigation.
