The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating an accident that killed two people dead injured two others.
The patrol tells local media outlets that the head-on crash happened on state Highway 61 near Middleton Place plantation late Wednesday afternoon.
The driver of one of the cars, 57-year-old Kenneth Stanley of Hanahan, was killed in the accident.
The driver of the second vehicle was also killed. His name isn't being released until family members are notified. Two people riding in that car were hurt. There was no word on their condition.
