Tallmadge Township, MI : Police seek driver in a rollover crash Ottawa County early Sunday morning, November 27, 2016

Police are seeking the driver of a crash early Sunday morning in which he and a passenger were injured.

His identity is unknown.

Emergency crews responded to Eighth Avenue south of M-45 shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday on a one-car, rollover crash.

A 2005 Lincoln LS was southbound on Eighth Avenue at about 2:49 a.m., lost control, went off the road and struck a large tree, said Sgt. J. Douglas of the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Department. This caused the vehicle to roll several times and land on its roof.

Witnesses helped the driver out of the car and the driver fled the scene Douglas said.

The front-seat passenger, a 40-year-old Interlochen man, was pinned in the vehicle and was extricated by Wright-Tallmadge firefighters. His name was not released.

Police said the driver did have some facial injuries.
