Waterloo,IA : Area residents hurt in Cerro Gordo Co. crash on October, Saturday 14th 2017

Three area people went to hospitals following a two-vehicle collision north of Mason City Saturday.

At about 3:15 p.m., Cerro Gordo County Sheriff's deputies were dispatched to the crash at the intersection of Orchid Avenue and 300th Street.

A 2011 Ford Ranger driven by Matthew R. Arthur, 17, of Nora Springs, was southbound on U.S. Highway 65 when a 2007 Toyota Camry driven by Karyl M. O'Connor, 54, of Toeterville, pulled into the path of Arthur's Ranger, according to deputies.


O'Connor and a passenger, Patrick M. O'Connor, 53, of St. Ansgar, were transported to Mercy-North Iowa by Mason City Fire Medics.

Arthur was transported to the hospital by a private vehicle.
