Crittenden County, AR : TX man killed after a crash in northeast Arkansas Sunday afternoon, July 31, 2016

A man from Texas died over the weekend after a crash in northeast Arkansas.

The crash happened in Crittenden County on Interstate 40 at mile marker 266 Sunday afternoon, according to Arkansas State Police.

Police state in the crash report George W. Hoobler, 67, of Richardson, TX was killed.

Hoobler was driving a Ford F-250 west on I-40 when the truck left the road and entered the center median.

The truck came to rest partially submerged in a canal running under I-40, according to ASP.

Hoobler was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other injuries were reported.
