Charlotte, NC : Pedestrian hit and killed in southwest Charlotte on Monday night, Nov 23, 2015

Officials said a man wearing all black was struck and killed Monday night in southwest Charlotte.
Officials responded to the scene at Steele Creek Road and Leighann Wood Lane at about 6:50 p.m.
Gregory Wright was attempting to cross Steele Creek Road when the accident occured.
Tierney Tillman was driving a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis and driving northbound on Steele Creek Road.
Brooke Rogers was driving a 2006 Nissan Altima, traveling behind the Mercury Grand Marquis, and also traveling north on Steele Creek Road.
Tillman struck Wright, in his vehicle’s lane of travel. After the initial impact, the victim was thrown to the ground and then run over by Roger’s vehicle.
Wright was pronounced dead on the scene of the crash.
The other two drivers involved were not injured.
Investigators believe Wright was crossing to or from a CATS bus stop in the area of the crash.
Wright was wearing all dark clothing and the lighting conditions in the crash area were dark. Both drivers were wearing their seat belts in the crash.
Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash. Speed is not a factor in the crash.
Tillman was arrested and charged with driving while license revoked and transported to the Mecklenburg County Jail.
Wright’s family has been notified about his death.
