Cartersville ,GA : Driver faces 9 charges after I-75 wreck on may, Thursday 18th 2017

The driver of the car that was involved in a wreck Thursday night with a tractor trailer that shut down Interstate 75 has been identified as Amanda Passmore of Cartersville.

Passmore was arrested and booked into the county jail Friday morning where she was charged with reckless driving, driving within the emergency lane, DUI alcohol, possession of methamphetamine, improper lane change, having an expired license plate, two counts of serious injury by vehicle and concealing the identity of a vehicle.

The wreck occurred Thursday around 8:30 p.m. The accident shut down I-75 North until roughly 10:10 p.m., and I-75 South was temporarily shut down to allow for the landing of two medical helicopters.

Passmore was transported to Cartersville Medical Center and arrested upon her release.

Two male patients were airlifted to a trauma center. One of the male patients was trapped in the vehicle and needed to be extricated. The patient was complaining of no feeling from the waist down and numbness to the hands. The other male patient was found to have an altered mental status.
