DAYTON, OH : Dayton Police cracking down to reduce speeding violations, accidents on Wednesday, 20th January 2021

The Dayton Police Department worked with the Ohio State Highway Patrol’s aviation unit Wednesday to conduct a monthly Joint Traffic Enforcement Detail, where they focused on reducing crashes.

This month’s detail monitored speeding on I-75 and Rt. 35 within the Dayton city limits.

Sgt. Gordon Cairns, supervisor of the Dayton Police Crash Reconstruction Unit, stated that 88 percent of citations from yesterday were for speeding 20 mph over the set speed limit.
