Laurel, DE : Man killed when the minivan hit a tree and overturned in Laurel on Tuesday night, March 22, 2016

Delaware State Police say a man was killed when the minivan he was driving hit a tree and overturned in Laurel.

Troopers said in a news release that Scot Adkins of Delmar was driving west on County Seat Highway Tuesday night. Police say the minivan crossed into the eastbound lane, left the road and hit a tree.

Authorities say the car rotated and rolled over, landing on its wheels.

Troopers say Adkins, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
