5 die when motorcycles, SUV crash Near Cumberland Maryland
Five people were killed when two motorcycles and an SUV crashed in southern Pennsylvania on Saturday afternoon.The crash reportedly occurred in the Cumberland Valley, which is 70 miles south of Harrisburg and is right on the border of Pennsylvania and Maryland.Two motorcycles were travelling in the same direction down one side of the road when they hit an SUV driving the opposite way in a head-on collision. All four of the motorcyclists were killed in the crash.NBC News reports that the four motorcyclists who were killed have been identified as 32-year-old Douglas Hoffer Jr., 27-year-old Colleen Nesbitt, 67-year-old David Russell, and 53-year-old Michelle Russell, all of whom were from Pennsylvania.The fifth victim of the crash was 68-year-old Marjorie Smith, who was in the passenger seat of the SUV. One person, presumably the driver of the SUV, survived the crash and was brought to a nearby hospital for treatment.
