FLORENCE COUNTY, SC : Florence county chase ends with stolen car crashing into tree on Saturday, 18th May 2024

Two suspects are recovering after allegedly being in the stolen car that led Pee Dee authorities on a chase before crashing.

Florence County deputies were told by dispatch around 5:40 p.m. on Saturday that a stolen car might be in the area of Highway 52 and I-95.

A deputy saw the car under the I-95 overpass heading toward Darlington and confirmed it had been stolen.

When the deputy tried to stop the car, the driver sped up, sparking a chase that went into Darlington County, the sheriff’s office said.
