Amherst,NH : Amherst man dies after crash on Route 101 on June, thursday 8th 2017

A local man died following a crash last month on Route 101. Philip Howe, 73, of Amherst, died two days after accident near the Bedford town line.

According to the New Hampshire Union Leader, Howe was traveling west on Route 101, crossed over the yellow line for unknown reasons and struck a vehicle traveling east driven by Melissa Proulx, 31, of Amherst, who sustained injuries that weren’t life-threatening.

Howe was transported to the hospital and died according to his obituary. Police said alcohol was not a factor, and the accident is under investigation.
