Flemington, N.J : 1 person seriously injured in crash in Union Twp. on Saturday, October 22, 2016
One person was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash that happened at approximately at 11:10 a.m. on Saturday on Route 513 north of Race Street.
According to initial reports, a Chevrolet S10 Blazer apparently traveling south on Route 513 struck a guide rail on the left side of the road, rolling over and coming to rest on the driver's side of the truck.
The driver had to be extricated by firefighters and rescue crews. The driver was transported from the scene by the Clinton Rescue Squad to a landing zone set up by Clinton Fire Dept at the South Ridge Community Church on Route 513. He was flown to a regional trauma center by the New Jersey State Police NorthStar Medivac helicopter.
There was no further information available as of Saturday.
Responding to the accident were the State Police, Quakertown Fire Department, Clinton Rescue Squad, Clinton Fire Department and paramedics from Hunterdon Medical Center in Raritan Township.
