Midwood, NY : A pedestrian is in critical condition after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in Brooklyn Monday morning on May 5th 2014

Authorities in Brooklyn are questioning a suspect in a hit and run accident that critically injured a 68-year-old man.

The accident happened as the victim was crossing busy Ocean Parkway in the Midwood section at around 11:30 Monday morning.

The victim was rushed to Lutheran Medical Center in critical condition

Police located a 2010 Buick sedan on Monday afternoon. The driver was being questioned.

The suspect was tracked down after an eyewitness at the scene took a picture of the car with the windshield smashed, presumably by the impact.

Ocean Parkway was briefly closed for the investigation.
