Butte, MT : Butte man killed in Homestake crash wednesday on June 18, 2014

Butte-Silver Bow County officials have released the name of a 70-year-old Butte man who died of injuries suffered in an Interstate 90 crash near Homestake Pass.

Deputy Coroner Lori Durkin told The Montana Standard on Friday that Frank Rasmussen died Wednesday of injuries he suffered in the crash.

The Montana Highway Patrol says Rasmussen westbound on I-90 at about 8:30 p.m. Monday and traveling too fast for the wet conditions when he lost control of his car on a curve and struck a guardrail. The patrol says he wasn't wearing a seat belt and was thrown into the car's back seat.
