SHARPSBURG, PA : Wrong-way driver hits multiple cars on Route 28 before crashing on Wednesday, 10th February 2021

A wrong-way driver hit multiple cars on Route 28 in Sharpsburg late Wednesday night before crashing, Pennsylvania State Police said.

The driver was traveling south in the northbound lanes of the highway, from the Fox Chapel exit to the Etna exit, about 11 p.m.

Police said the driver’s pickup truck hit multiple cars before crashing on the Etna on-ramp, which takes drivers from Route 8 to Route 28. The truck hit a concrete barrier and an embankment while going down the ramp.
