Valparaiso, IN : 1 dead in Valparaiso multi-vehicle crash; 3 others injured at Silhavy Road near Glendale Boulevard on Tuesday, 3rd March, 2020

Valparaiso police have confirmed one fatality from a Tuesday night multi-vehicle crash and said narcotic use is believed to have been a contributing factor in the crash, according to a release.
Officials have not yet released the name of the person who was killed.
The crash occurred at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Silhavy Road near Glendale Boulevard, according to a release from Sgt. Joe Hall, public information officer with the Valparaiso Police Department.
Three vehicles were involved and resulted in injuries to three additional vehicle occupants, Hall said.
“At this time, narcotic use is believed to have been a contributing factor in the cause of the crash and charges are being forwarded to the prosecutor as the investigation continues,” Hall said.
