Corpus Christi, TX : Man killed after a three-wheel motorcycle wreck on Highway 77 north of Ricardo on Tuesday night, August 2, 2016

One man is dead Tuesday night after his motorcycle veered off the roadway north of Ricardo, according to Texas Department of Safety.

Trooper Nathan Brandley said the man and his wife were traveling north on Highway 77 in a newly purchased tricycle motorcycle when the motorcycle veered off the roadway after 6 p.m.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Brandley said, and the wife was taken to Christus Spohn Hospital Memorial in stable condition.

Both riders were wearing helmets, Brandley said.

Troopers are still investigating the cause of the wreck.
