Ottawa, KS : Two injured in crash at U.S. 59 and Rock Creek Road on Tuesday, 16th August, 2016

A blue Dodge Neon rests against a guardrail after rear-ending a white Honda Pilot about 1:25 p.m. Tuesday at U.S. Highway 59 and Rock Creek Road, south of Ottawa. Both vehicles were southbound on U.S. 59 when the Neon struck the stationary Pilot while it was waiting for a vehicle in front of it to turn left off of the highway, Neil Stanley, Kansas Highway Patrol master trooper, said at the scene. The two occupants of the Neon were transported to Ransom Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, and the driver of the Pilot suffered no injuries, Stanley said.
